Optimizing Plastic Processing with a Crystallizer Dryer

A Crystallizer dryer is typically used to process plastic resins that are sensitive to moisture during injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding processes. Common plastic products that require the use of a Crystallizer dryer include:

  1. PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate): PET is commonly used for manufacturing bottles, food packaging, etc., and is highly sensitive to moisture. Excessive moisture in PET during processing can lead to decreased product quality, hence the need for drying.
  2. PA (Polyamide): Polyamides like nylon are very sensitive to moisture, which can cause quality issues such as bubbles or flow marks during processing. Therefore, Crystallizer drying is typically required before processing polyamides.
  3. PC (Polycarbonate): PC resin absorbs moisture easily during processing, which can adversely affect physical properties such as impact resistance and transparency. A Crystallizer dryer effectively removes moisture from PC resin.
  4. PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate): PBT, a common engineering plastic, is sensitive to moisture. Excessive moisture during processing can result in surface defects like bubbles or shrinkage.
  5. POM (Polyoxymethylene): POM resin also requires drying to prevent issues like bubbles or thermal decomposition during injection molding or extrusion.

These plastic materials need to undergo treatment with a Crystallizer dryer before processing to ensure effective removal of moisture, thereby maintaining the quality and performance of the final products.
