1. Strengthen the thermal management of the existing hopper dryer.

For example, to prevent the leakage of the drying medium, to make the combustion furnace burn completely, and for the flash dryer with hot air circulation, try to maintain the maximum circulating air volume.

2. Improve the thermal insulation performance .

On the basis of measuring the heat dissipation of the plastic hopper dryer take measures to improve the heat preservation of the flash dryer and reduce heat loss.

3. Prevent the product from over drying.

During the drying process of the flash dryer, the moisture content of the product should be strictly controlled to avoid excessive drying of the product and increase energy consumption. To prevent overdrying, the last few rollers can be reduced and replaced with high frequency heat.

4. Reduce the initial moisture content of dry materials.

If the dried material is a solution, it can be concentrated by a thin-film evaporator, and then spray-dried; if the dried material is a suspension, it can be filtered to remove most of the water before drying. This can reduce the heat energy consumption per unit of high-quality products.

5. Recover the heat taken away by the exhaust gas.

When the inlet temperature of the flash dryer is not high, the proportion of the heat taken away by the exhaust gas to the total heat is very large. The use of heat exchangers to recover the heat taken away by exhaust gas has been implemented in industry.

6. Increase the inlet temperature of the drying equipment.

For heat-sensitive materials, on the premise of ensuring product quality, a higher inlet temperature of the drying equipment can be used as much as possible. Due to the higher temperature of the gas used, the thermal efficiency of the drying equipment is higher.

7. Drying with superheated steam.

Superheated steam is used as the drying medium, and the drying method by reducing the humidity and heat of steam is called superheated steam drying. Drying steam can be recycled to reduce heat loss and improve thermal efficiency in the drying process.
